Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who has long been treated like a pariah on the global stage, is visiting Bangkok barely a week after an earthquake that killed at least 3,000 people in his country.

Despite the crisis, the military junta launched airstrikes just hours after the earthquake on Friday.

AP7 says it cannot exclude a company linked to the Myanmar junta without additional verification. The company in question has so far ignored all contact attempts by the AP Funds’ Council on Ethics.

Separately, Justice for Myanmar, a civil society group, is calling for an investigation into Julie Bishop, UN special envoy for Myanmar, for apparent conflict of interest activities linked to China.
