မြန်မာနိုင်ငံမှာ စစ်အာဏာသိမ်းတာ ၂ နှစ်ကျော်တဲ့အထိ စစ်ကောင်စီကို နိုင်ငံခြားငွေအဓိက ရှာဖွေပေးနေတဲ့ နိုင်ငံတကာရေနံကုမ္ပဏီ ၂၁ ခုမှာ အမေရိကန်ကုမ္ပဏီ ၈ ခုအထိပါဝင်နေတယ်လို့ Justice for Myanmar အဖွဲ့က ဖေဖော်ဝါရီလ ၄ ရက် မနေ့က ထုတ်ပြန်လိုက်ပါတယ်။

အမေရိကန် ရေနံကုမ္ပဏီကြီး Chevron က ရတနာဓာတ်ငွေ့ စီမံကိန်းမှာပါတဲ့ သူ့ရဲ့ ရှယ်ယာ ၄၁.၁ ရာခိုင်နှုန်းကို ကနေဒါရေနံကုမ္ပဏီ MTI Energy ရဲ့ လုပ်ငန်းခွဲတစ်ခုဆီကို ရောင်းချခဲ့ပြီး အဲဒီအရောင်းအဝယ် သဘောတူညီချက်ကို Chevron ကုမ္ပဏီက ဂါးဒီးယန်းသတင်းစာကို ပထမဆုံး ထုတ်ဖော်ပြောကြားခဲ့တာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ပြင်သစ်ရေနံကုမ္ပဏီ Total ထွက်ခွာသွားပြီးနောက် မုတ္တမကမ်းလွန်ရှိ ရေနံနှင့် သဘာဝဓာတ်ငွေ့ စီမံကိန်း တွင် အကြီးဆုံးရှယ်ယာရှင်ဖြစ်လာသည့် အမေရိကန်ရေနံကုမ္ပဏီ Chevron (Unocal) ရတနာစီမံကိန်း ရှယ်ယာများကို ရောင်းထုတ်တော့မည်ဖြစ်သည်။

In the two years since Myanmar’s generals seized power, they have steered the country into one of the worst human rights disasters on the planet, with mass killings and detentions, torture, sexual violence and attacks on civilians.

Lauding sanctions imposed on the Myanmar military regime and its associates this week, a State Department spokesperson emphasised the United States’ and its allies’ commitment to halting any enablement of the junta’s atrocities, while pro-democracy activists noted both merits and defects in the new measures.

Campaign group Justice For Myanmar welcomes sanctions imposed by Australia, Canada, the UK and USA on members of the terrorist Myanmar military junta, its businesses and jet fuel suppliers to mark the second anniversary of the military’s illegal coup attempt.

According to tax records obtained by The Guardian, in the two years following a ruthless junta's takeover of Myanmar, some of the largest oil and gas service companies in the world have continued to profit handsomely from projects that have supported the military government.
