The World Bank Group’s private-sector arm is divesting its holdings in one of Myanmar’s largest banks nearly two years after a military coup, according to the lender’s largest shareholder.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, has divested from Yoma Bank after its business with military companies was exposed, according to activist group Justice For Myanmar (JFM).

စစ်အုပ်စုနှင့် စီးပွားရေးလက်တွဲလုပ်နေသည့် ရိုးမဘဏ်ထံတွင် ရင်းနှီးမြှပ်နှံထားသည့် ရှယ်ယာများကို ကမ္ဘာ့ဘဏ်လက်အောက်ခံ နိုင်ငံတကာငွေကြေးရန်ပုံငွေအဖွဲ့(IFC)က ပြန်ရောင်းလိုက်ပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်း အသိပေးလာသည်ဟု Justice For Myanmarက ယနေ့ထုတ်ပြန်သည်။

စစ်ကောင်စီနှင့် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်နေသည့် ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံပိုင် ရေနံကုမ္ပဏီများဖြစ်သော PTT နှင့် PTTOR တို့မှ နုတ်ထွက်လိုက်ပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်း ကမ္ဘာ့အကြီးဆုံး ရင်းနှီးမြှုပ်နှံမှုရန်ပုံငွေအဖွဲ့တစ်ခုဖြစ်သော Norway’s Oil Fund က ယခုလ ၁၅ ရက်တွင် ထုတ်ပြန်ကြေညာသည်။
