Campaign group Justice for Myanmar has criticised Kirin Holding's 'irresponsible' exit from the Myanmar market and the way it has given complete control of Myanmar Brewery to Myanma Economic Holdings Limited (MEHL).

ဂျပန်အခြေစိုက် အဖျော်ယမကာလုပ်ငန်းကြီးဖြစ်တဲ့ Kirin လုပ်ငန်းစုကြီးက ရှယ်ယာတွေကို ဦးပိုင်လီမိတက်ထံ ရောင်းချလိုက်တာဟာ တာဝန်မဲ့ ထွက်ခွာမှုသာ ဖြစ်တယ်လို့ Justice For Myanmar က ထုတ်ဖော်ပြောဆိုလိုက်ပါတယ်။

လက်ရှိအခြေအနေမှာ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရဲ့ စီးပွားရေး ကျဆင်းနေပြီး အခုလို ဖြစ်ရတာဟာ ပြည်တွင်း ထုတ်ကုန်တွေကို အားမပေးဘဲ သွင်းကုန်ကို အဓိကထားခဲ့တဲ့ မူဝါဒ အမှားကြောင့်လို့ စစ်ကောင်စီ ပြောခွင့်ရ ဗိုလ်ချုပ် ဇော်မင်းထွန်းက ဇူလိုင်လ ၁ ရက် ဒီနေ့ နေပြည်တော်မှာ ပြုလုပ်တဲ့ သတင်းစာရှင်းလင်းပွဲမှာ ပြောပါတယ်။

Kirin Holdings is to sell its stakes in ventures in Myanmar to its military-linked partner in the businesses.

Japanese beverage company Kirin Holdings announced on Thursday that it will sell its entire stake in Myanmar Brewery (MBL) to the company, a joint venture with military-owned Myanma Economic Holdings (MEHL), for 22.4 billion yen ($164 million).

Japanese drinks giant Kirin said Thursday it has agreed to a buyout of its shares in a Myanmar joint venture with a junta-linked conglomerate as it seeks to exit the market after the 2021 coup.

Petronas, the existing operator of the Yetagun gas project has handed the project over to Gulf Petroleum Myanmar (GPM), according to campaign group Justice for Myanmar.
