Telenor built a highly successful business in Myanmar but now finds itself forced to shut down the internet and share user data with a regime intent on crushing all opposition.

Norwegian telecoms operator Telenor has announced on Thursday the sale of its mobile operations in Myanmar to M1 Group, a Lebanese company, for $105 million.

“They found that picture and took her away.
