Myanmar’s regime said it detained 81 people and five security guards during a three-day crackdown on online gambling and scam businesses in Mongyai Township, northern Shan State.

Activist group Justice for Myanmar alleged in a recent report that Interra had "helped supply the junta" with over two million barrels of oil and "fuelled its ongoing war crimes".

Singapore-listed oil production company Interra Resources said it is seeking legal advice to determine whether its subsidiaries violated foreign laws in supplying oil to military-controlled Myanmar.

Singapore-listed oil company Interra Resources stated on Thursday that the extension of a production-sharing contract between its subsidiary, Goldpetrol Joint Operating Company (GJOC), and the regime-controlled Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) was finalized years before the military coup on Feb. 1, 2021.

OIL and gas exploration and production company Interra Resources on Thursday (Feb 6) denied a report that alleged it has supplied the Myanmar junta with more than two million barrels of oil since the military’s “illegal coup attempt”.
