지난 3월 27일, 미얀마 군부 쿠데타 이후 가장 많은 사망자가 발생했다. 현지 언론 미얀마나우에 따르면 이날 하루 동안 사망자가 최소 114명에 달한다. 이로써 3월 29일까지 확인된 사망자가 510명, 체포·구금된 사람이 2574명이다(미얀마정치범지원협회). 시신을 찾지 못한 사망자와 알려지지 않은 납치도 있다고 하니 실제 사망자와 구금자 수는 더 많을 것이다.
