The International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group is divesting from Yoma Bank, Justice For Myanmar has confirmed through a source with knowledge of the transaction.

Yoma Bank is providing banking services to Telecom International Myanmar Company Limited, the operator of the Myanmar military’s Mytel mobile network.

Justice For Myanmar condemns Yoma Bank’s loan to Pinnacle Asia, a company owned by the daughter of war criminal and coup leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, and calls on shareholders IFC, Norfund and GIC to take urgent action.
