Aung Myo Min Din is the Founder of Adventure Myanmar Group and the Amazing Group of Companies (a euphemism if ever there was one) and a thoroughly corrupt crony.

Aung Myo Min Din has close ties to the family of war criminal and junta head Min Aung Hlaing. He is a former student of Min Aung Hlaing’s wife, Kyu Kyu Hla and like an adoptive father to their son, Aung Pyae Sone.

These close ties to the Myanmar military have afforded Aung Myo Min Din privileged access to land to build his not-so-amazing national hotel empire. He has a portfolio of at least five properties on land leased from the Myanmar military and its conglomerates. This includes Amazing Ngapali Resort in Arakan State on land the military stole from local residents during the previous junta.

In addition to business endeavours with a genocidal military, Aung Myo Min Din doesn’t shy away from business with other criminals. For example, one of his business partners is Pannarong Khunpitak, an alleged online gambling boss currently on the run from Thai police for warrants issued as part of the raid on fellow Myanmar crony Tun Min Latt on drug trafficking and money laundering charges.
